The cloud is estimated to pass the locations at the given times. Arrive well in time and stand prepared with the application opened on your smartphone. Being late means missing entering the time window into the Cloud. Bring your headphones!

How can I experience the Unknown Cloud?
- Please download the app “Unknown Cloud Caretaker” anew each time you plan to experience Unknown Cloud - on the same day.
- Use a stable wifi-connection to have a successful download.
- When the App is on your phone: Select Sunrise or Sunset (depending on the time of the day you are attending the event) and download the content which is approximately 250Mb data.
- As soon as you download the app “Unknown Cloud Caretaker” you will see this screen:
- Let the app access your location service.
- Put your smartphone on flight mode (Caretaker’s technology operates on the phone’s compass and GPS, so no internet is required).
- Put your autolock on ”never” as it prevents the phone accidentally exiting the caretaker app during the experience.
- Have your headphones ready.
- Turn up your volume.
- Be ready on time and keep the app “Unknown Cloud Caretaker” open on your smartphone. The Cloud could arrive up to 10 min. after the given time.
- Try not to press the home button on your phone as this might accidentally exit the app caretaker.
- You can of course touch the screen of the App and in fact it will be encouraged as it will help Caretaker to stay connect to your phone.
- Please be aware that the app Caretaker is in a development stage. A frictionless download process and participation cannot be guaranteed at this stage.
How do I download the App “Unknown Cloud Caretaker”?
For Android- Users: Download the app “Unknown Cloud Caretaker” here and follow the instructions by the Google Play Store.
For iOS- Users: Download the app “Unknown Cloud Caretaker” here and follow the instructions by the App Store.
When downloading the app please make sure to close other applications that are running in the background.
What do I need to experience Unknown Cloud on Its Way?
- You need a smartphone and headphones.
- You have to have downloaded the app “Unknown Cloud Caretaker” anew on the date of each event.
- Make sure your battery will last.
- Please let the app access your location service. You can allow access when going to privacy settings.
Please be aware that the app Caretaker is in a development stage. A frictionless download process and participation cannot be guaranteed at this stage.
What data volume has the app “Unknown Cloud Caretaker”?
311 MB. Make sure your phone has enough storage to download the app “Unknown Cloud Caretaker”. Please make sure all other apps on your phone are closed while experiencing the Unknown Cloud.
Does Unknown Cloud cost something?
No. There is no admission and the app “Unknown Cloud Caretaker” is for free.

Can I download the app “Unknown Cloud Caretaker” on location shortly before the Cloud arrives?
Yes. But the internet connection can vary depending on your provider, so it can take some time. Make sure to download it on the day of the event anew to have the app “Unknown Cloud Caretaker” ready when the Unknown Cloud arrives.
